Brian, please introduce your home care business. Our local business is part of the family of businesses nationwide that constitute FirstLight Home Care. It’s our “culture of care” at the local level that unites us in providing the best support possible each day. Our expertise includes senior care, personal care, companion care, respite care, dementia care, specialty care, and skilled care.
What local communities does your team support? We help individuals and families in Sarasota, Venice, Englewood, Port Charlotte and surrounding communities. The demographics of all of the local communities are a good fit with our expertise and capabilities.
What would you like to share about your caregivers? Our culture of care implies a caring and thoughtful approach in helping our clients live with dignity and a genuine feeling of being appreciated. We select and carefully train individuals to serve as caregivers because they embody these underlying values. They have the skill and desire to build meaningful relationships based on trust and respect. Our caregivers are the heart of our business and the key to our success every day. Please share a little more information about your skilled care support. Some clients need extra support related to their personal health. We have a team of credentialed clinicians that have many years of relevant experience. They include nurses and physical therapists.
What about the cost of your services? The cost varies based on the duration of the care and the actual services. Some clients need occasional support and others need more comprehensive support. The most common way to pay for home care is private pay. Cost support can also be provided with long-term care insurance, veteran benefits, and other select government programs.
