Chris, what does
family spirit entail at Heritage Oaks?
We value the uniqueness of each individual and celebrate the life experiences of every resident. Our goal is to provide a caring environment where families are welcome, and residents know they are loved unconditionally.
What are some of the
Bistro, media/movie room, fitness center, barbershop and salon. Weekly trips to Englewood community pool, weekly restaurant outings, a monthly trip to the Seminole Casino in Immokalee, shopping on Friday, wine down Wednesday and much more.
What can you share
about the dining services?
We have award-winning chefs including Charlotte’s Senior Living Top Chefs First Place Winners. We are proud to offer our residents and family members home-style favorites and some new surprises on the menu. Our goal is to provide healthy and delicious meals that meet nutritional needs while delighting your taste buds.
How does Heritage Oaks address the medical needs of its residents?
We provide personal care services to seniors who need assistance with activities of daily living including including help with medication management, bathing, dressing, mobility, companion services, housekeeping, personal laundry, and more. For seniors who value their independence, but need some support with daily tasks, Heritage Oaks begins with a Customized Service Care Plan designed to meet each individual’s specific needs. Resident peace of mind is always a priority, so our Care staff and nursing are available 24 hours a day. Our one-touch resident emergency response pendants are monitored around the clock.
What can you share
about your Reflections Memory Care Program?
It’s based on a combination of caregiver training focused on Validation Therapy, Person Centered Care and Walking in Their Shoes along with specific dementia programs such as Reflections of Art, Music & Memory and Round A Bout Tales. Our approach helps us to better understand what our residents experience in living with the challenges of everyday tasks.
Where are you from,
Chris, and what would you like to share about your family?
My wife Cassie and I are from Columbus, Ohio and we’ve been living in Venice the past 13 years with our three kids. India is a student at Ohio State University, Dylan is a student at Florida Gulf Coast University and Avery is a student at Venice Middle School. We consider ourselves to be very fortunate to live and raise our children in such a beautiful area.
