Anne Ford splits her time between her home in Maine and her winter residence in Englewood. She usually departs for Florida in October and returns north in May. Anne enjoys spending time outdoors in both communities with a camera in hand to capture the spontaneous beauty of nature.
“Most of my photos feature colorful flowers, wild birds, and pretty sunsets,” she said. “It’s relaxing to explore the outdoors and most of my photos are spontaneous captures.”
Anne grew up south of Boston and spent her childhood summers on Cape Cod. It was her appreciation for the beauty of the coastline that led her to settle down in Appleton (less than 1,400 residents) near Camden about 30 miles east of Augusta. She discovered Englewood while visiting family.
“I appreciate the hometown charm of Englewood, my friends in the area, the local history, and the convenience of being near beautiful beaches, parks, and preserves,” added Anne.
Anne uses a Canon Powershot and her smartphone for most of her photos. She’s also been using a Nikon D800 that a friend loaned to her. “Even though I’m happy taking photos for the fun of it, I’ve been thinking about working with realtors to photograph homes for sale or perhaps creating note cards with some of my favorite photos.”
Some of Anne’s other interests include gardening, riding her bike, taking walks, boating, doing crafts, and spending quality time with friends.
